Frequently Asked Questions & Troubleshooting

After printing to paper, there are strange characters showing in the text description of the exercises. What can I do?

If you copy and paste text description for an exercise from another on-line source, sometimes that text is encoded differently and is causing the problem. If this is the case, please type out the text description for each exercise yourself with your own wording, as opposed to copying it from another source, and try printing it again to see if that fixes the problem.

Another reason characters may not show correctly is if you are using Microsoft Edge. Edge has a known problem, that sometimes occurs when printing, in which strange characters appear in the text description of the exercises. If this is happening to you, please use a different browser. The best known browser to use with HEP2go is Google Chrome.

If you are having some other problems, then please try deleting cookies and temporary internet files from your browser settings, close the browser, re-open it and try again. This sometimes clears random problems. If you still have trouble, please send us a bug report or contact us and we will get back to you.
